Admissions at Guardian IOP

AdmissionsSeeking IOP treatment is a courageous decision, and Guardian IOP’s Recovery Specialists are here to guide you through the admissions process by verifying your insurance coverage and determine whether our program is the best fit for your needs.

Our age- and gender-specific IOP services are highly regimented, yet flexible–an ideal way to incorporate addiction treatment into your life if you’ve already completed a primary residential program or have other obligations that prevent you from attending treatment full-time.

Admission to our program is coordinated by appointment only. Contact us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 855-517-1871 to get started.

Verify Your Insurance Benefits

Cost should never be a barrier to life-changing treatment, which is why Guardian IOP accepts most major insurance plans. Our Recovery Specialists can help you understand your coverage for our program and determine your financial responsibilities, if any. Pre-Admission Assessment

At Guardian IOP, we want to ensure that our program is the right fit for each client and vice versa. Before admission to our program, we conduct a pre-admission assessment for all prospective Guardian IOP clients.

The pre-admission assessment is a 20-minute phone conversation that is then reviewed by our Clinical Director, who determines whether our program is appropriate for the prospective client and assigns the client a therapist based on their individual needs. For example, we primarily treat substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health disorders. If for any reason our program is not suitable for a prospective client, we will connect them with an appropriate treatment provider.

During the pre-admission assessment, we’ll ask questions such as:

  • What is your history and length of substance use?
  • Have you been diagnosed with any other mental health disorders?
  • Do you have a family history of substance use or physical and psychological health issues?
  • Have you ever participated in treatment?
  • What medications are you currently taking, if any?

Upon completion of the pre-admission assessment, clients will schedule an appointment to visit Guardian IOP and complete intake paperwork, meet with their therapist and participate in group sessions. The intake appointment is typically scheduled for the day after the assessment is completed.  The intakes are being done between Monday through Thursday. We will transport clients who live within a 5-mile radius of Guardian IOP to and from sessions.
